This painting came about after a local hike that my sister and I went on.  By the end of the hike our feet were hot and tired, and this cold mountain stream felt so oh so good!  While cooling off, I was admiring the natural beauty of water and light but was also struck by the look of our feet in the water.  Who paints feet, by the way? Me, apparently!

I decided to paint this emphasizing all the lovely shades of green and yellow that are in our clear local waters.  My favorite part was painting the light reflections on our feet as they wrapped around our toes.  

It was easy to think of a name for this painting since our feet were very happy to be dipped into a cool mountain stream that day!
